CGHR five-year anniversary event

On 14th May 2015, CGHR brought together its broad network of researchers, funders, collaborators and partners to celebrate it's first five years. CGHR Director, Dr Sharath Srinivasan, opened the event with a brief overview of the Centre's work to date.

This was followed by an introduction to each of CGHR's research themes:

Human Rights in the Digital Age - Dr Ella McPherson
The Right to Life - Dr Thomas Probert
Violence, Conflict and Peacebuilding - Dr Devon Curtis
Politics, Digital Technologies and the Media - Dr Sharath Srinivasan.

The occasion also marked the launch of Africa's Voices, the non-profit enterprise spun out of CGHR research on Politics, Digital Technologies and the Media

Finally, Dr Sharath Srinivasan gave a short talk on 'Valuing voices in the digital age.'
