Health in Africa Workshop, panel on 'Health and new Information and Communication Technologies'

This meeting was organised by the Centre for History and Economics in cooperation with the Cambridge Centre of African Studies and the Centre of Governance and Human Rights. It was the third in a series of meetings organised by the King’s/Harvard Joint Centre for History and Economics on the historical experience of economic crisis in relation to public health and health systems. Speakers included Emma Rothschild (King’s/Harvard), Professor Amartya Sen (Harvard), Professor Megan Vaughan (Cambridge) and Professor Thandika Mkandawire (LSE).

CGHR organised a panel on “Health and new Information and Communication Technologies,” chaired by Sharath Srinivasan and with contributions from Professor Geoff Walsham and Dr Mark Thompson (Judge Business School), and Isaac Holeman (FrontlineSMS:Medic).
