CGHR Associate Dr Devon Curtis (POLIS) is speaking at the University of Cambridge Centre for Centre for Gender Studies event: Women, War and Peace: Reflections on 15 Years of UN Res 1325

The creation of UN Resolution 1325 aimed to address not only the inordinate impact of war on women, but also the pivotal role women should play in conflict management, conflict resolution, and sustainable peace. With civilians increasingly targeted by the changing nature of warfare, in 2015 women continue to be excluded from participation in peace processes.

Also speaking:

Dame Barbara Stocking (President of Murray Edwards College and former Chief Executive of Oxfam GB)

Dr Gina Heathcote (SOAS School of Law and Centre for Gender Studies)
