CGHR supports African academic to attend 'Pursuing Justice in Africa' Conference in Cambridge, 27-28 March 2015

CGHR is pleased to have contributed towards the travel expenses for Dr Ngeyi Ruth Kanyongolo, who will be speaking at the multidisciplinary conference on Pursuing Justice in Africa, to be held in Cambridge on 27-28 March 2015.

Dr Kanyongolo is Senior Lecturer in Law and Dean at the Faculty of Law, Chancellor College, University of Malawi. She specialises in the study of women and law and is currently serving as a Gender Expert on the National Task Force on Electoral Reform in Malawi. She will be speaking on 'Public Services and Justice: a case study of the legal treatment of defilement in Malawi'.

Pursuing Justice in Africa is being sponsored by the Centre for Research in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CRASSH), the Centre of African Studies, the Division of Social Anthropology, the Trevelyan Fund, CGHR and the Smuts Memorial Fund.
