CGHR Student Group Michaelmas 2025 Update

This term, the CGHR Student Group has been preparing for upcoming events and opportunities for students interested in the centre’s work! We begun the term by opening applications across the university for our committee, looking for both undergraduates and graduates to fill the slots. Together, the committee has been working on events for Lent term, particularly the practitioner series, which will be taking place all throughout Lent term – keep an eye out for speaker announcements! We’re also setting up broader discussion groups, giving students an opportunity to engage in semi-structured conversation over a wide range of issues, while collaborating with different student societies to highlight specific campaigns around the university.

One of our most exciting projects has been working with Albert Fox Cahn, CGHR’s Visiting Scholar Practitioner this year, on a research project which will broadly deal with harm generated by digital rights practices in the US and UK, particularly from the perspective of younger people.

Please do get in touch if you’re interested in being involved in our work, and keep an eye out for upcoming events and opportunities!
