The CGHR Practitioner Series allows students to hear from and ask questions of seasoned practitioners working in international politics, journalism, development and humanitarianism.
We are inviting you to meet Mary Harper, a journalist, author and broadcaster. She has reported on Africa for the BBC for 30 years and was its Africa Editor for more than a decade. Most of her reporting has been from conflict zones.

She has set up an award-winning independent media house in Mogadishu, Bilan, where she works alongside a team of young women journalists. She advises governments, the United Nations and other institutions, and is a board member of several Africa-related organisations.
The talk is free and everyone is welcome, but for organisational reasons please register your attendance here.
