Join us for a talk with Professor Bonita Meyersfeld, international lawyer and academic at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, who will discuss her new book ‘Domestic Violence and International Law’ (Hart Publishing). Professor Meyersfeld will argue that systemic intimate violence is an appropriate concern for international law and will discuss important recent legal developments at the UN, European, inter-American, and Pan-African levels. Dr Jude Browne (Director, Cambridge Centre for Gender Studies) will respond. The talk will be co-hosted by the Centre of Governance and Human Rights, the Centre for Gender Studies and the Legal Research Group (POLIS).
