Health in Africa Workshop, panel on “Health and new Information and Communication Technologies”

This meeting is organised by the Centre for History and Economics in cooperation with the Cambridge Centre of African Studies and the Centre of Governance and Human Rights. Speakers include Emma Rothschild (King’s/Harvard), Professor Amartya Sen (Harvard), Professor Megan Vaughan (Cambridge) and Professor Thandika Mkandawire (LSE). The panel will be chaired by Sharath Srinivasan and with contributions from Professor Geoff Walsham and Dr Mark Thompson (Judge Business School), and Isaac Holeman (FrontlineSMS:Medic). This is the third in a series of meetings organised by the King’s/Harvard Joint Centre for History and Economics on the historical experience of economic crisis in relation to public health and health systems.
