The Centre of Governance and Human Rights has had another excellent year. Its profile and that of its Director, Dr Srinivasan, are steadily rising. It has become established as an important contributor to research networks not only in its core mission but also on African international politics. As a result it has attracted peer-reviewed funding via the highly competitive process of the ESRC/ DfID research grant calls, with a project on Politics and Interactive Media in Africa, while there are signs of talented young researchers both within Cambridge University and the wider academic community beating a path to our door.
