The Centre of Governance and Human Rights (CGHR) has had another very positive year, from my viewpoint as Head of the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS). Its profile inside and outside the University of Cambridge is steadily rising as the result of its major contributions to work in the two inter- related strategic areas of the Cambridge- Africa Programme and research on digital issues within the humanities and social sciences. Dr Srinivasan, as Director of the Centre works with a strong group of research associates. Two members of the team received awards from the Cambridge-Africa Alborada Research Fund and others were supported by the Vice Chancellor’s Discretionary Fund.
