Over the past five years CGHR has set a lead for POLIS in showcasing how to combine the best interdisciplinary academic work with far-reaching policy and practical impacts. Under Sharath Srinivasan’s hugely energetic leadership the Centre has built up an outstanding array of academic, governmental and non-governmental partnerships that ensure the widest possible dissemination of its work. Scholars who have come through the Centre are now continuing that work in Cambridge and beyond. CGHR is a model of how to make a big difference in a short space of time.
