We are writing this introduction to our biennial report in tumultuous times. We write amidst the global coronavirus pandemic and Black Lives Matter protests across the United States and the world over police brutality and institutionalised racism. We write amidst extensive and uncertain state responses to both, as well as significant ramifications for societies and global politics. All this reminds us just how important it is that voices in the mix include critical and creative perspectives from the academy and practitioners. CGHR is, we hope, contributing to these perspectives on governance and human rights – whether in the past two years covered in this report, or in the past ten, as, amazingly, 2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Centre. With this milestone, we take a moment here to highlight ten such contributions in the past ten years.
