CGHR Biennial Report 2022-24

Dear CGHR Community,

Welcome to the Centre of Governance and Human Rights’ 2022–24 Biennial Report highlighting our activities, outreach and impact.

During these years, a major project was completing the Oxford Handbook of Peaceful Assembly, which has strong CGHR links. The Handbook comprehensively interrogates peaceful assembly from global and historical perspectives, providing insights from a range of disciplinary standpoints. Alongside Sharath and Dr Thomas Probert (CGHR Associate) being co-editors and chapter authors, Ella also wrote a chapter. CGHR is looking forward to the successful publication of the Handbook in 2025!

Throughout these terms, our community has remained dedicated to critical and collaborative praxis research for justice and solidarity. This community includes our CGHR Postdoctoral Scholars, and during this period we said goodbye to Dr Sebastián Lehuedé, who joined KCL as Lecturer in Ethics, AI and Society, and welcomed Dr Ashwin Varghese, whose work on AI and policing in India will significantly contribute to our research agenda.

Thank you to all our friends, collaborators and supporters for being part of our journey.
