We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Ashwin Varghese as CGHR’s next Postdoctoral Scholar! Amongst a very competitive field, Ashwin impressed us greatly with his work on AI and policing in India. Ashwin’s novel, theoretically- and critically-grounded approach to thinking about how digital technology inflects power relations within state institutions will be a distinctive contribution to CGHR’s research agenda. We are excited for him joining us in Easter Term!
