In Easter 2022, the Digital Verification Corps contributed to a new research project led by Amnesty International’s Evidence Lab. The team verified hundreds of videos of police brutality from across Europe and the Middle East as part of wider research focussed on the ‘militarisation of protest’. This follows on from the DVC’S work on ‘Tear Gas: An Investigation‘, which won a Webby Award in 2021, and ‘Blunt Force: Investigating the Misuse of Police Batons’.
