CGHR Practitioner Series 2026 Talk with Jasleen Chaggar

On 11 February 2026, CGHR welcomed Jasleen Chaggar, Legal and Policy Officer at Big Brother Watch, a UK campaign group dedicated to campaigning against state surveillance and technological threats to civil liberties. In her role at Big Brother Watch, Jasleen works on topics which range across data rights, financial privacy, and surveillance tech.
Jasleen discussed in detail her work in Big Brother Watch, offering expert insights into ongoing campaigns surrounding facial recognition and digital ID programmes in the UK. She also broke down the intricacies of work within political campaigning, from researching and staying afloat of ongoing parliamentary developments regarding the use of technology to public awareness and activation.
